It has finally arrived at a retailer near you. The Playstation 3 Dual Shock 3. Was it worth wait. We believe it was definitely worth the wait. Although it was rumored that Sony would phase out Sixaxis motion sensing control with the intergration of this generation of Dual Shock the currently released version has both vibration and Sixaxis motion sensitive controls.

Pressure sensitive action buttons that vibrate and respond with each action which makes every action and impact feel like you are right in the game.

Instead of pulling the trigger and having it feel like just springs and plastic the feed back vibrates at such a frequency that it adds to the realism of game play.

Haptics technology has been around along time since Nintendo introduced it years ago with the introduction of the glove . It has evolved and now when used it is like extreme virtual reality. It allows the player to feel things in a more realistic way never used in game console controllers before. Nintendo came close but the new Ps3 dual shock has used the technology and in anticipation of it's development, already has games released that take advantage of the Dual Shock 3's technology.

Activating the Dual Shock vibration function for some games is as easy as selcting enable in the game's settings menu.

Some titles require that you to get an update online and will prompt you to do so when you load the game. Others Require you to go online with the online menu within the game to run the update. Once you run the update make sure you reload ( exit out of the game to the main PS3 menu) and reload the game and select enable to have the full vibration function.
